Blue Ridge Kidz

When you first join us at Blue Ridge, look out for the Blue Ridge Kidz sign by the stairs or ask a member of our hospitality team to direct you to our children’s ministry. Our nursery is available at the beginning of service for infants up to four years old in two of our three upstairs classrooms. Blue Ridge Kidz (ages five to ten) will worship with their families and be dismissed for children’s church prior to the message with our wonderful Blue Ridge Kidz volunteers.

We also have worship service packets available for children that want to stay for the entire service. These are located at the desk by the stairs, and there are two options: one for younger children (coloring sheet, crayons, snack, etc) and one for children a little older (sermon note taking page, snack, etc).

It is our desire for all the children of Blue Ridge to feel engaged, special, and know they are an important part of our church family.

Little ones are so very special, and we love every baby and toddler with the gentle love of Jesus. Activities include playing, singing, and even rocking them to sleep as they are prayed for. Children at Blue Ridge will find a fun and creative place to learn about the Bible and our King Jesus. They will be engaged with individual attention, have fun, and be taught how God loves them.

Kids that are a little older (such as Elementary-aged kids), will also be engaged during their time at Blue Ridge Community Fellowship. They will find a fun and growing church community where they learn to worship God through songs, interactive lessons and conversation, fun activities and games, and more. Our goal and prayer is that all children will come to know and experience God as the real and amazing God he is, who speaks and guides us in our everyday lives and relationships. We love Blue Ridge Kidz, and so does Jesus!

When you arrive with your children, you will see a check in table and BR Kidz sign located in the back of the main auditorium near the stairwell. At check in, you will fill out a form with your child’s personal information, diaper changing preferences, allergies, people approved for pickup, etc.
Babies and children up to age four can immediately be taken up to their classrooms upstairs, and children five and up will meet their BR Kidz teachers by the stairwell to be taken upstairs after the Glory Sighting (a time during the adult service when a person shares how they have seen God working throughout the week in their life).
If children prefer to stay in service, there are kids’ church service packets located at the check in table with coloring pages/sermon note page (depending on age), crayons, a snack, etc. Be sure to ask for one if this is something that would be helpful you and your child!
All children are cared for and ministered to by a special team of background checked individuals who have a heart for the children of Blue Ridge.
